Nothing Happens After Opening

I guess I’m a dolt…downloaded this app via the App Store and then clicked the icon to open but nothing happened. Best I can tell, I just paid for an icon that does nothing. Given all the good reviews, maybe I am doing something wrong but I’m hardly a new Mac user or computer-illiterate so I’m baffled and feeling ripped off.
